About DBTAA

The Darlington Brown Trout Angling Club (DBTAA) was formed over 100 years ago and is considered by it’s members to be one of the foremost clubs in the area.

By constitution the club is limited to 550 members together with it’s OAP, Ladies and Junior sections.

How to join DBTAA

Membership of DBTAA is limited with the membership year running from January to January. Please note that membership renewal is now closed for 2024.

Membership of DBTAA and ATDAC gives members access to many miles of prime river and pond fishing.

River Swale

The club now owns, manages or has access to over 10 miles of fishing on the River Tees, 4 miles of river on the River Swale, as well as stretches on the Lune and the Skerne add this to a number of ponds this make up a formidable array of fishing venues catering for both coarse and game fishing enthusiasts.

The DBTAA is one of four members of the Association of Teesside and District Angling Clubs (ATDAC). This association also controls long stretches of the River Tees and 2 ponds, Westgate and Bishopton Mill. All members of the DBTAA must also be members of ATDAC.

 Please take care to keep yourselves and others safe.

Please note that car parks should not be over crowded and parking capacities for all car parks are printed in the members’ handbook.

Please Note: When entering or leaving DBTAA water, especially Lane Fox Pond,  please be respectful of our neighbours. NO loud music and NO slamming or banging of gates.  Please turn off car radios etc before arrival.
